Waterproofing can be a tricky business, as you can’t always rely on a simple foam padding.
So how do you cover the back of your sofa when the water levels drop?
With a little creative thinking and a few simple steps, this sofa cover can be made to stand up to the elements and keep you dry.
Read on to find out how to waterproof your sofa and see how to get your own in a couple of weeks.
How to waterproof a sofa coverHow to waterproof the back cover of a sofa with a couple stepsStep 1: Find the best quality waterproof fabric in a store or online.
The cheapest waterproof fabric for your sofa can be found at Wal-Mart, as it has the lowest price of the four options.
A good fabric will have a very slight curl at the edge and be a solid fabric, but not as soft as a polyester fabric.
Step 2: Find a good, firm cushioning material to put the fabric over the back.
Step 3: Find out what thickness you want your back cover to be.
The higher the thickness, the better it will work with the sofa.
For example, if you want a thin foam cover, go with a 2.5cm thick fabric.
Step 4: Find your cushioning layer.
The best way to find the perfect foam cover is to go to a store with a good selection of cushions, like Walmart, or online to find a selection of the most affordable foam cushions.
The cheapest ones will be about $1.00 each, while the most expensive ones will cost you about $20.
Step 5: Measure your back covering thickness.
The thickness of your back cushioning will determine how much cushioning you need.
This thickness is measured in millimeters, so for example, a 2mm thick foam cover would be about 15.5mm thick, while a 2cm thick cushion would be 14mm thick.
Step 6: Start by making a simple pattern.
This can be anything from a small square pattern, to a longer, more intricate pattern, and so on.
Step 7: Cut the foam cushioning.
The foam will then be sewn onto the backcover using the same technique as you did for the fabric you chose to waterproof.
Step 8: Use a needle and thread to make your pattern.
You will need to sew the pattern onto the foam, which will then allow you to make the pattern in a straight line.
The longer you sew the seam, the easier it will be to line up the fabric pieces.
Step 9: Finish sewing the pattern on the foam.
The pattern will be made from two pieces, one inside the other.
To finish the seam on the two pieces together, use a needle to sew along the seam with a thread.
You can then move your piece of fabric over to the other piece of foam.
Step 10: Now that your two pieces of foam have sewn together, it’s time to make another pattern for the foam cover.
Step 11: To finish sewing the two patterns together, you will need two pieces and a needle, but you don’t have to do this.
Instead, you can use a stitch marker to mark the line of the two lines, and then sew your pattern onto one piece of the foam covering and the other on the other one.
This will make the two sections of foam cover look like two squares.
Step 12: Finally, the two layers of foam will be finished up, and the two back covers will look like a simple triangle.
Step 13: You can now leave your sofa backcover at home, as there’s nothing to worry about.
Step 14: For the best results, leave the foam on your sofa for at least six months.
Step 15: For an even longer time, leave your foam on the sofa for another six months or longer.
Step 16: Once the foam has soaked up all the moisture, you should have a really nice, dry, waterproof cover!
Step 17: You will now be able to put your new sofa cover in the shower, and it will last you a long time.
